Experience handed down over the years

In rural Lombardy at the beginning of the 20th century, amidst farmsteads and courtyard houses, the first family carpentry workshop was established.

A few decades later, immediately after the Second World War, the need to rebuild an Italy in rubble also involved basic necessities such as food and clothing; thus the first shoe factories were established in Parabiago, then a small municipality to the north-west of the Lombard capital.

Hence the first of many intuitions: Gervaso Pisoni, grandfather of the current owners, Carlo and Rodolfo, began producing the first wooden heels in 1950 in what was then the Tacchificio Ideale.

During the 1960s and at the height of the economic boom, under the careful direction of their son Giovanni, the family business began to mould moplen and later the first plastic heels with a metal tube.

In 1997, the baton of a company more than a decade old finally passed to the current owners, with the birth of Italcompo.

The desire to further improve the skills acquired over many years of craftsmanship led them to use the very latest machinery and equipment.

In 2001, the first machining centre was acquired, which was followed over the years by the fine-tuning of many technologies with the sole aim of fully satisfying customer needs.
